Disability Information for Blepharospasm PatientsSome people who are severely affected by blepharospasm or Meige and who do not find sufficient relief with injections or other medications, find it impossible to continue with their jobs. In some cases they resign because of their inability to perform their jobs; in other cases they are terminated by their employers. BEBRF (Benign Essential Blepharospasm Research Foundation) has a packet of material available at no charge for those patients who are considering filing for Disability under the Social Security Act. Following are copies of some of the material which is included in the packet. Some brochures and publications that are included in the packet are very important but do not lend themselves to reproduction here. Patients who are considering making an application for disability under the Social Security programs are urged contact the Foundation for the full packet.
