Hi board! Some of you might remember me from about a year or so ago, been here everyday reading but not posting. Now I need a little help from some of you. I went to my BEB Dr. today for a checkup after starting on Strattera a couple of weeks ago, and while we were talking he ask me if I had ever thought about DBS. I have read some things here on the board, but I would like to hear from some of the people that have had this done if possible. I've been reading anything I can find on the subject, but there's nothing like hearing it first hand.
A little background - I've had BEB for about 14 years, Cervical Dystonia about 8 years, and Meige's for about 6 years. I have Botox every 3 months, 130 units, and it only last about 3 weeks out of the 3 months. Been tested to see if imune, not. I've been with this Dr. almost 2 years now, so we think we have figured out the placement points for the shots, but they just don't work. He wants to send me to Shanes in Gainsville where there are 2 Dr's that have been doing the DBS for different kinds of Dystonia, and have a great reputation, but again, I would like to ask anyone and everyone that has had the DBS to Please either answer here or e-mail me with any info.
