Definitely order the information packet from the Foundation ... I found this to be so useful in helping me to understand it all. I am newly diagnosed also, and have yet to find a treatment that works, but having knowledge and this board to support you will go a long way. It certainly has helped me.
I am so sorry to hear how much trouble you are having with doctors! It certainly makes the problems I've had pale in comparison and I have been frustrated out of my mind by mine!I don't know about your insurance company, but mine assigned me a "personal nurse" in the beginning and it was she who finally got me in to see the neurologist in this area. Although I had to educate her on the disease, thanks to this website I could, and once she understood what I was going through, she did all she could to help me get through the system.
