Edit
Hi,

This happened on my way to work. No one got injured. The bike's handle and mirror were caught by my arm and the biker stopped quickly. So, I missed my footing a bit and I may get bruises on my arm...BUT...the bikerider, a young lady, decided to tell me off about how I should be looking where I am going!

I walk about 35 min morning and evening to and from work. I cross a huge bridge to get into the city. I can't keep my eyes open the whole time, so I guide myself into a straight line, and things are usually fine, although I do bump into people once in a while. The sidewalk on the bridge is very very wide and there is a bike path next to it, so this should not have happened.

When I called my husband to tell him, he quickly pointed out that the biker should have been on the bike trail and not on the sidewalk (he bikes to work and takes that bridge, too). Honestly, I was so taken aback at how mean the lady was that I did not think to point that out to her. I also did not feel like going through a big song and dance about my eyes, so I just walked away as she fumed.

These things are annoying, aren't they? I just thought that I would reach out to people who really understand this.

Thanks for letting me vent! Have a good day, and be weary of the bikeriders; with summer upon us, there can only be more!

Claire from Canada (who will still take the bridge back home tonight...)
