Two questions you asked in replies to postings:
1) (indirectly) how do you handle the pain? Some people use a topic anesthetic - I'll have to rely on others to give you it's name. Some use ice blocks (or a pack of frozen peas will do!) to numb the area. Otherwise folks grin, grunt or scream and bear it. Not fun getting that many bee stings at once. 2) Ptosis crutch: some opticians can get these - others will give you a blank look. A couple of us have used Rick's Eyeglass Repair 1-800-249-6944 1408 Raymond St. South Elgin, IL 60177. Email is any495@yahoo.com. You mail the glasses to him with the measurements he needs, and he does the job quickly. The link to his site is below. Cost me around $75 for each of the pairs I've had him do for me. I'd try the optician first, as they can help with fitting and measurements, but if you try the Rick route, email me and I'll send you the info on what I did to get the right measurements to send him. Good luck! Peter Related link: http://eyeglassrepair.net/_wsn/page3.html |
