The neuro I have gone to for the past 14 year for botox injections does not and will not use Emla cream. If a person reads the label inside the box of Emla cream it states "do not use near the eyes"! Other people try a cold pack prior to the injections or taking a tylonal (not aspirin as it thins the blood) to dull the pain. Me? - I just bang the arm of the chair when the injections go into the forehead where it hurts most - it's over and done with in 2 minutes so I can bear that little bit of pain to get relief of my eye spasm. I understand we all tolerate pain differently tho'. June in Toronto
