Hi, Men-
When my eyes are hurting, Motrin (I take Advil, both are Ibuprofen) really helps. I just have to be careful to take it with food as to not irritate my stomach. I usually take 400 mg every 8 hours, only when I need it when my eyes are burning and stinging. I agree that it's a good short-term trick. I hope that your dental work is all behind you now.
