Glad to hear it Steve. Wouldn't be quite the same without you (my breathing dystonia buddy) and Jennifer. Hope you are doing well. I could tell you the benefits of conference as Shirley and others have done so take the first leap--you'll be glad you did. I first attended in Lexingon, 2000, and have been hooked ever since. Sitting in that conference room for the first time (next to Shirley and Roy) I'll never forget the emotion I experienced just to be with blephros whose eyes were sometimes closed, who wore caps, visors, sunglasses, etc. The early days were challenging as I worked through my many fears and frustrations. As a result of the BEBRF, a whole new world of information, networking, and friends have developed through the vehicle of conference. It is the glue which helps bond us all together. Initially, the new information, connection with leading physicians who are experts in our disorder, and other networking was my incentive. It still is, but there is also the benefit of helping new blephros find their way--I have since become an area support group leader and subsequently state coordinator. So, join us in Minneapolis..not only a wealth of information awaits, but friends who will uplift, listen, and mostly understand whatever place you find yourself in this journey. See you there!
