Thanks, Joellen! I had read and had suspicions about me having Meige Syndrome. I have received Botox around eyes and a couple of shots on the cheek area (these didn't seem to help but it is hard to judge when you don't know how far it has progressed when it is being managed by the botox).The doctor wanted to start me on Artane but I have held off because I had a really bad reaction to other drugs before diagnosis (mainly anti-convulsants). I will wait and see the new specialist to see what he thinks. I am currently on a mild anti-depressant.
The head problems and pain have caused me to have time off work (I am a primary school teacher). I can't imagine being well or strong enough to teach again and I am too young (and poor) to retire. I am a 51 year old female. Fortunatately I have a very supportive husband and family.
I have just booked into another session of Bowen Therapy (mild massage using pressure points) so hope to get some relief there.
