Judy,When I called SSD to make an appointment, I mentioned this to the person on the phone and she said she had never heard of this before. (Some obviously don't read their own Blue Book.) I printed a copy of it off of the web site and put a notation at the bottom that it was from the SSD Blue Book. This was included in my application for disability.
I was never even asked to see one of their doctors. I received a notice in about a month that I had received disability for 2008, retroactive to 2004, the first year after I took early retirement. When they give you retroactive disability, they will only pay one prior year to the year they find you disabled. I gave them really good medical records. (I keep everything.) Also, Dr. Soparkar wrote a letter for me. You can find a copy of his letter on the web site or in BEBRF Disability packets that you can get from the BEBRF office.
