Hello out there~
I was just diagnosed with blepharospasm and I am trying to figure out where to get some help. I live in a remote fishing village in Alaska, and there are only two doctors in town here. I am traveling to Roanoke, Virginia this week and hoped to see someone there. I have a friend in Greensboro, NC so I could go there to see someone. I guess I need Botox treatment. Are you folks pretty comfortable with someone who doesn't give the treatments very often, or do you insist on an expert? I have $5000 deductible on my insurance, so cost is a consideration. Do I need to see a neurologist, or an opthamologist? How long does it usually take for the disease to progress to where keeping the eyes open is a problem? I have it in both eyes. Thanks for any advice!
