Hi--Does this start during the night? I've had several episodes of feeling like there was a large piece of sand in one eye. It does hurt! It hurts to move the eye, touch the eye, or move the eyelid to see what the problem was. Makes for a miserable day. An ophthalmologist said that sometimes the inside of an eyelid can release a small kernel of hardened "stuff" that is very irritating. However, since then I have concluded that it may be due to dry eye--especially since it begins at night and most often within a couple of weeks of botox injections. Try using something like the Refresh p.m. ointment or Genteal oil before going to bed. Since I started using one of these ointments I haven't had the problem. Joellen |
