Edit
Hi June,

I had to respond to your post ..... I just arrived home from getting my Botox injections. I asked the doctor while I was there about the redness around my top right eyelid.... she told me that it was rosacea. I couldn't believe it when I clicked on this bulletin board that the first thing I came across was your post regarding rosacea.

I was concerned about that eyelid because I lost 2/3rds of my top right eyelid (in 2010) because of a rare type of skin cancer. I am always concerned (maybe overly concerned at times) because of this. So I really hope that the doctor was correct today when she said that it was rosacea. She is the doctor that removed part of the eyelid. I have had so many doctors tell me so many different things over the years.....it is hard to know just what to believe and what not to.

She told me that some people who have rosacea on their eyelids find it difficult to deal with. She said that the rosacea on the eyelid can be treated by a dermatologist using a laser. Or just cover the area with make-up.....or not.

I just re-read your post before sending this off. I think I misread the information in your post because it was more referring to ocular rosacea.... which, of course, is the eye itself and not the eyelid or skin surrounding it. So for what it is worth I decided to send my post anyway.
