Dear June,I have just gotten in to see Dr. Farias as well in November in Spain. I just wanted you and everyone to know after reading your message that they do not want you to have any botox three months before you come to have your session with him. I had botox for two years, different kinds, different placements, different dosages, and while it helped my eyes, I've had MANY side affects which I wrote about in an earlier blog this past month. I have decided to give up botox until I see Dr. Farias (which is what he wants me to do anyway), but fun enough, I was planning on going without it anyway because we have a trip coming up at the end of June overseas and I didn't want to be sick for it. If I would have gotten my normal 3 month round in this month, I would have 2 weeks before my trip and was afraid I would be sick since it makes me feel horrible with flu-like symptoms sometimes for 2-3 weeks after. I am in the meantime going to follow what a friend who has MS and has pretty much beaten it for 12 years by living an extremely healthy lifestyle by eating right, cutting out sugars, glutens (pretty much similar to the Wahl's Diet that all have been talking about on here) and doing yoga, in fact, becoming a teacher of that, along with other things. Truthfully, I'm scared to death that I will be able to see without the botox, but the other side affects are worth the chance to me at this point after being sick from botox for 2 years. I'm only 52 and a very active and vibrant person with 3 grown daughters and a 2 year old granddaughter. I want my life back and hope I can do that with a more natural route and with the help of Dr. Farias. I'm so happy for the people out there that botox helps, but it isn't for me.
