Susi, I can really relate. It has been almost 6 weeks since my last Botox. The spasms have been acting up, too. I also have fibromyalgia and have difficulty sleeping. I am under a lot is stress preparing to spend most of August in the San Francisco Bay area for a family gathering. Not ony will I be attending a wedding shower outside in the afternoon sun, but also attending a night wedding at week 10 since Botox, so I know things will be crazy. Even good stress is additing to it since our son, daughter in law, and two young granddaughters (who I havent met me yet--one is 14 months and the other 3 1/2 years and don't speak English.) As much as I am excited about seeing them, it will be a very stressful time. Out of my family, I am the ony one who once spike Hebrew fluently and have been stressing out trying to remember it so I can develop a relationship with my granddaughters. Add to this my ADHD which tends to create tension during family situations and I am extremely stressed out. Thank God, I am seeing a psychologist weekly to help me and her main thing is I need to learn to relax. Once I relax and stop worrying, my spasms and fibromyalgia symptoms should hopefully decrease. So, I believe that stress is probably helping to increase your spasms as well as your fibro flare. I know. I've been there. Try relaxing and taking it easy. Take time for yourself and vent anytime you need to. As you can see, I also needed to vent. We all do at some time. Hope things get better. Relax and keep a journal as to what seems to be causing the spasms to increase and the fibro flare. You and your doctors will be able to learn something from it. Keep positive and learn to relax and meditate. Take care of yourself. Diane |
