Welcome! I have not yet had xeomin (or botox) but my neurologist, who is the director of the Movement Disorders Clinic at Mt Sinai in NYC, recommended xeomin to me, saying it was "cleaner" than botox so less likely to cause reactions. Before I start botox, I am going to try neuroplasticity therapy with a doctor who is just starting to work with BEB patients. His name is Dr. Farias, and until recently, he treated mainly musicians with focal dystonias. He is now developing plasticity therapy for blepharospasm. The therapy aims to improve the condition without drugs, permanently, by retraining the brain (as is done with stroke victims). The only reason I mention this to you is that you say you have only had BEB six months, and I gather that is optimal for plasticity therapy. One woman on the site, Michelle, who also got BEB 6 months ago, went to train with Dr. Farias and reports that she is 80% better.
Again, I STRESS that this is not a clinically proven therapy--it's still almost untried. But I really wish it had been an option for me when I was new to BEB, so I am telling you now. If you want to talk to Michelle, search for her name and "Farias." She has posted her email address and is really happy to talk on the phone, too, to anyone about her experience.
Whatever you end up doing, good luck. It's great that you found this board, which is a fantastic place for gathering information and getting support.
