Donna - I live in the US on the east coast. Are they charging me more because I'm so far away? The last time I bought from Moran I don't even think they charged for shipping. By the way, we have to factor into the cost what I spent to ship the glasses TO them. Because they were expensive frames, I insured them for $200 at the P.O. It came to about $5.50. Now, I am not sure of what they charged me this time. When I spoke with Amy, she didn't mention price - I just gave her my VISA card # and that was that. Then VISA called me the next day to ask about this strange charge of $42.50 from Utah, so I can only assume that's what they charged me. I will know for sure when the glasses arrive next week. I asked Amy to be sure to put in a receipt that said "tinted for blepharospasm" so I could send it to an insurance company's policy that was negotiated by my union. It's an "extraordinary cost" policy that sometimes allows me to get some money back for eye glasses. Usually comes to about $50 but every cent counts these days. As soon as I get the package, I will report back as to darkness of tint and price. Now I hope I don't get any unpleasant surprise as to price from Moran. Are you in Canada? That would definitely make a difference. Marcia |
