Edit
Hi,

I've exchanged a couple of long emails with Amy. (I wrote to Patrick, and he passed it on to Amy; she copied her replies to him, and I've done the same.) I will go into other details later; that is, about plain tinted lenses in Cocoon frames.

But what you quote about the pair you just received sounds right, at least according to their present policy. Amy said that the glasses I got in 2010, when I thought I hadn't paid postage—she said they were billed a different way and she hadn't been able to check it.

If they are charging Utah (I assume? or is it FL?) sales tax, then, well, they're charging sales tax.
I guess the idea is that it's as if you came in and ordered glasses, paid for them, and now they're mailing them to you. And she says yes, $5 for shipping and handling.

I loved my 30-35% rose tint; it is light, but it was a new pair that I had made just for reading. They're the only plastic ones I've had tinted, and they did take the tint very well. I'm going to get more plastic glasses.
For me, it was a mistake to get glasses only for reading, because I can't wear them for anything else—can't use them to walk around in. But the tint works well, especially since they really ARE just for reading, so I'm always looking downwards when I wear them.

Looking forward to your report~

Judith K
