Just FYI for anyone with dry eyes in a hot climate. I found some great looking sun glasses with a black foam insert for protection from a company called Wiley in SoCal. They have supplied our military people eye protection during desert warfare. |

I just looked it up. I'm sure the glasses do the job, but WOW they are expensive! |

Do you remember the name or model number of the one with the foam insert? |

Briza F3106. I use them all the time because it is so hot and dry here. |

A motorbike shop will also sell goggles with foam around the lenses - I've had mine for many years (they are small like sunglasses rather than large like ski goggles) and they close by a magnetic piece in the front and are very comfortable. No, unfortunately (at least the small motorbike goggles I have) don't fit over other glasses. I keep meaning (?) to try and get prescription lenses put in them (may never do that thoughLOL), but they are great in the cold windy weather. June in Toronto |

Thank you June. Without my regular glasses I can not see a thing. I have been using the fit overs from Wal Mart. I hope you are cooler than we are in Texas!

I checked out the glasses and ordered a pair. They look like they are worth a try. Dryeyezone.com has them and is offering 15% off right now so that helps at least a tad with the pricing. Barb who loves being a personal shopper for just about anything. :) |

Okay. I went ahead and took the plunge. I ordered both the sunglasses and the ones with transitional lenses. They come with a replaceable foam insert. The sunglasses look okay -- not too goofy and dorkey and are helpful with driving and on windy days. The transitional glasses looked pretty goofy to me when the lenses are clear and they don't seem to darken up that much. I'm thinking of keeping them for around the house simply because my house gets dry especially in the winter and my old house doesn't let me add much in the way of humidity. Don't think I'd want to display them in public, but then again I might if I was really uncomfortable. Certainly they are no cure for the bleph, but to the extent that dryness is a trigger they seem to help some. Also they fit well for a woman. |

The ones I have are 7Eye by Pantopx. I had prescription lenses made for them. Probably lots of places you can buy them, and lots of different models. Your local Harley dealer probably has them so you can go check them out there. Online, these guys have a selection, including lots of other brands. Peter |
