I am so sorry for you. I have been on Klonipin for over 20 for Bleph and meige. That is a ridiculous law since Klonipin is used by many if not most people for dystonia. No one can afford a psychiatrist monthly nor can you get an appointment monthly. Perhaps if you have any support group in TN you can all write letters to both your congressmen and state senators. I know that klonipin is a scheduled drug but it does have medical purposes.
If you need to get off the drug you must do it very slowly. It is one of the most difficult drugs to wean off. It took me several years to go from 2 mg a day to 1 mg a day. Flexeril will not help... it is a muscle relaxer whereas Klonipin helps control spasms. Good luck Barbara |
