I'm not sure that I can tell you much more than you already know. If you looked up eye twitches, you are probably aware that they are VERY common and are most often related to stress. They are usually self limiting and go away over a period of time....days, weeks or even months. They are indeed frustrating and somewhat embarrassing. I've had them myself....for months at times but it was totally unrelated to my Blepharospasm. It was not even a precursor to my BEB. Mine just occur when I'm under a lot of stress....like you relate that you are. No point in worrying about whether this will lead to BEB or not. So, to answer your question....no, it does not sound like BEB....it sounds like an eye twitch. Yes, there have been people that have had BEB start as what they describe as twitching...and then it progressed. Mine did not start that way at all. I had eye irritation, light sensitivity and sustained eye closure with hard spasms within weeks of onset. When you google a health concern, it will give you the most obvious cause and then will start relating all the possible things that it could be a sign of. Blepharospasm is only one of those things. Good to be aware of those things but not so good to stress about it. You've done the right thing by checking with your doctors. Eye twitches really are very common and typically go away on their own over time. If you haven't already, you might make an appointment with an Ophthalmologist and have a thorough eye exam and get their opinion. Time will tell. Eye twitches can also be treated with a very small amount of botox if it bothers you that much. Sorry that you are having to deal with the eye twitch....I do know how frustrating they can be.
