Thanks for sharing with us what has helped with your blepharospasm symptoms. I assume that you know that psychiatric medications are well known for causing Tardive Dyskinesia. Blepharospasm symptoms would fall into that TD window. If this is the case for you, have you talked to your physicians about changing your medications or trying one of the newer medications that is for Tardive Dyskinesia symptoms?
You seem to be getting results from what you are presently doing and I'm happy for you. Different things help different people and not any one thing seems to be beneficial for all. I also follow a very low carb diet (keto). I've been eating that way since my diabetic diagnosis a couple of years ago. My belief is that the human body is very effective at detoxifying itself so not into the fasting thing. I have done intermittent fasting in the past though and it was great for weight loss but it did nothing for my Blepharospasm. I also get regular exercise. Caffeine actually helps my blepharospasm symptoms. I've tried a variety of things since my BEB diagnosis, 20 years ago. Symptoms wax and wane but never fully go away for me. Some things work for awhile but then stop working as the brain gets used to them. Thanks for letting us know what is helpful for you. Shirley in Alabama |
