Edit
Hey all,

I am Arun (24, male) from India. I had Lasik in 2011, and had accomodative eye problems and overall throbbing nerve pain immediately afterwards. I slowly started to develop a lot of unusual symptoms which pointed to some auto immune condition.

It took me 3 years to get to know that I might have developed fibromyalgia or some related condition. I have many symtpoms of which blepharospasm is the worst. I cant drive, read or do anything that requires attention anymore. I am on Low Dose Naltrexone which has made things better and I'm actually able to get some work done. But still I am not able to drive and do a lot of normal things.

I have no support from doctors locally who really dont understand the condition. Dr. Rosenthal of Boston Eye Pain Foundation has been the most helpful and was the one who gave me an idea of what could be wrong and also put me on Low Dose Naltrexone.

I dont want to try Botox or any other method of treatment. Maybe later if things get much worse. I just want to know about some medication that can help me in the short term. Like for 4-5 hours. Something I can use once a month or even less when I really need to use my eyes. From reading resources on this site, I think Clonazapm would be most appropriate for short term use. What do you think?

Regards,
Arun, India.
